SAN CARLOS, Calif. - Charles Jordan Berkebile succumbed to a brain aneurysm while at work on Feb. 26, 2004.

He was born Dec. 8, 1959, in Indianapolis, Ind. The family moved to Rapid City, S.D., in 1969, where Chuck attended Wilson Elementary School, South Junior High and Central High School. He graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder in 1983 with a degree in Environmental Design.

Sherry McMenomy, also known as "the little red headed girl," and Chuck married in 1987. They have two daughters: Melissa Marie, in her second year of college at The College of San Mateo, and Lindsey Ann, soccer player and student at Tierra Linda Middle School. They have made San Carlos their home for the past 17 years. Chuck owned a home design showroom located in Burlingame.

A memorial service will be held at Redwood Chapel in Redwood City, Calif., with a viewing at 11 a.m. and a service at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 2. A reception will follow at their home, 249 Molton Avenue, San Carlos. Family and friends are invited and most welcome to attend the celebration of Chuck's life.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry; two daughters, Melissa and Lindsey; his parents, Dale and Mary Berkebile; and two sisters, Susan Berkebile and her family and Sally Berkebile and her family.
